Below are the first mocking ups of my website for the crit, I showed these off as well as my pages and got the following feedback:
make the logo stand out (ACTED ON)
• Also, another piece of feedback was to increase the size/ how much the logo stands out on the page, because it looks too similar to the navigation on the right hand side.
tone down the colours to not stand out too much (ACTED ON)
apply a pattern to the sides, something to help tone it down. (ACTED ON SORT OF, APPLIED TO NAV BAR, ABOVE)
it currently looks a bit too gamble-y, I believe toning it down may help with bringing that factor back. (ACTED ON)
the icons of the cards is a good idea
print/downloadable copy would be great. (ACTED ON)
people in the group haven’t really played cards, thats a possible target audience to reconsider.
I received good feedback concerning the design of the website home page, one of the main things was how it currently looks a little bit much like a gambling website at the moment and just needs a slight change to make it look more like a family orientated website.
